Rijiju Calls Out Rahul Gandhi for Foreign Trips Without Notice
Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has raised concerns about the foreign visits of Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi. Rijiju emphasized the requirement for MPs to notify the Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha Secretariat at least three weeks before international travel, citing compliance with parliamentary rules and regulations.

Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju expressed concern over Rahul Gandhi's frequent foreign visits, underscoring the need for MPs to adhere to parliamentary protocol by notifying the Secretariat well in advance of such trips.
The minister emphasized that while MPs are free to travel, they must inform the relevant authorities as stipulated by parliamentary rules. Rijiju pointed out that any foreign hospitality received by Rahul Gandhi should be disclosed according to the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act.
Highlighting Gandhi's 54 trips abroad since 2004, Rijiju stressed the importance of transparency regarding the expenses incurred during these visits. He reiterated that these regulations apply to all MPs, urging Rahul Gandhi to comply with the notification requirement to avoid any perception of bias or targeting.
