ReNew Energy Global Plc, a prominent player in the renewable energy sector, witnessed a sharp decline in its net profit, plunging over 75% year-on-year to Rs 77.7 crore for the quarter ending March 2026. This decrease from Rs 313.7 crore in the previous year highlights a challenging quarter for the company.

Despite the quarterly slump, the company's profit after tax (PAT) for the entire fiscal year more than doubled, reaching Rs 1,038.5 crore from the previous Rs 459.1 crore. This increase was primarily driven by a substantial rise in total income, which stood at Rs 15,063.5 crore for FY26, up from Rs 10,907 crore in FY25.

ReNew continues to pursue aggressive expansion plans, with expectations to complete construction of 1.6 to 2.4 GW by March 2027. Its significant solar manufacturing capacity enhancements are set to bolster ReNew's position as a leader in decarbonisation solutions globally.
