An electronics repair shop opposite the Civil Hospital in Kangra town was gutted in a fire. No casualties were reported, officials said on Wednesday.
The fire, that broke out on Tuesday night, triggered panic in the area after residents noticed flames and smoke billowing from the shop around 3 am and alerted the Fire Department.
A fire brigade team rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control after strenuous efforts. However, by then, most of the goods stored inside the shop had already been destroyed.
