The United Doctors Front (UDF) voiced significant concern and dissatisfaction after its representatives were barred from contributing to the Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee proceedings on Education, despite receiving an invitation a week prior.
According to the UDF's statement, delegates traveled to Parliament to represent young doctors, medical students, and healthcare professionals, presenting issues concerning NEET, NTA, and examination reforms. Despite submitting detailed documents beforehand, UDF was informed they couldn't partake in discussions due to resistance from Committee members.
Dr Lakshya Mittal, Chairperson of UDF, criticized the exclusion, advocating for the recognition of stakeholders representing vast student bodies and healthcare professionals in crucial policy dialogues. UDF's submitted representation highlighted the need for a new statutory national examination authority, investigation into persistent NEET issues, and emphasized accountability and transparency reforms.
