Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, faced a setback on Thursday when his planned public rally in Almora, Uttarakhand, was canceled due to severe weather conditions. The adverse weather prevented his helicopter from departing Pantnagar, disrupting his itinerary.
On the social media platform X, Gandhi addressed the people of Uttarakhand, expressing his regret for not being able to meet them. He had hoped to discuss a variety of pressing issues, including the state's economic and social challenges. Meetings with ex-servicemen in Pauri Garhwal and a visit to a gym in Kotdwar were also on the agenda.
Gandhi emphasized the importance of safety and nature, stating that weather conditions were beyond his control. Reassuring the public, he promised a return to Uttarakhand to engage in meaningful discussions about the state's future. 'We will meet soon,' he assured, vowing to allocate ample time during his next visit.
