Dinesh Trivedi, India’s newly appointed High Commissioner to Bangladesh, reminisced about his roots as he visited the historic Netaji Bhavan in Kolkata. Set to head to Dhaka soon, Trivedi expressed optimism about fortified ties between the two nations.
In an interview with ANI, Trivedi highlighted the deep personal significance of visiting Netaji Bhavan, located near his childhood home. He credited Subhas Chandra Bose’s ideals for shaping his values, describing the visit as a poignant moment.
Reflecting on Indo-Bangladeshi relations, Trivedi emphasized shared democratic aspirations and people-to-people connections beyond mere geography. He received his Letters of Credence in June and recently engaged with Indian Army officials to enhance defense collaboration.
