Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin said on Wednesday that cannabis would be re-listed as a narcotic by end of 2024.
He said on social media platform X that he wants the health ministry to issue a regulation allowing only medical and health usage of cannabis. Thailand in 2022 became one of the first countries in Asia to decriminalise marijuana for recreational use.
