In a tragic incident in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh, a young brother-sister duo has died due to diarrhoea, prompting the health department to send a team of doctors to the village for evaluation, officials reported.

The children, aged 11 and five, perished from the water-borne disease in Gangwaha village, around 35 km from the district headquarters. Chief Medical Health Officer (CMHO) R P Gupta confirmed that a medical team visited the village after being informed of the deaths.

Initial investigations suggest that the villagers have been drinking water from a well suspected to be contaminated. Authorities have advised against using the well and have applied bleaching powder to it and other local water sources to mitigate the risk.
