British Family Doctors Vote for Industrial Action
British family doctors, represented by the British Medical Association, have overwhelmingly voted to take industrial action in a dispute over funding and contract changes. With 98.3% in favor, the action could lead to significant changes in how doctors prioritize their work and share data.
British family doctors have decided to undertake industrial action following a vote by their trade union, the British Medical Association, announced on Thursday.
In a decisive ballot, 98.3% of General Practitioners (GPs) supported collective action. The union indicated that this could result in doctors opting out of data sharing agreements or prioritizing patient care over local health service system requirements.
