India’s Quest for Health and Space Supremacy

Union Minister Jitendra Singh emphasized India's leadership in global health research and space sector innovations during the 9th Annual Conference of the American College of Physicians India Chapter. He also highlighted the importance of public-private partnerships and international collaborations in medical and space sciences.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Friday asserted that India is poised to lead global research in the health sector, having made significant contributions to medical health, research, and education, during the inauguration session of the 9th Annual Conference of the American College of Physicians (ACP) India Chapter in Lucknow.

Singh, who was conferred with the 'Distinguished Mentor of the Year' award, emphasized the crucial role that collaboration between the private and public sectors, as well as international organizations, plays in advancing medical sciences.

He highlighted the success of India's space sector under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which has attracted investments worth thousands of crores, substantially increasing the number of space startups. Singh also noted India's potential for deep collaboration with the USA in leveraging India's cost-effective research facilities and diverse medical conditions.
