First Dengue Fatality in District: A 16-Year-Old's Tragic End
A 16-year-old boy succumbed to dengue at a private hospital, marking the district's first dengue-related death this year. The health department confirmed the boy died of a heart attack shortly after being admitted. Since January, the district has reported 314 dengue cases.

A 16-year-old boy suffering from dengue has died at a private hospital here, the health department announced on Wednesday.
This marks the first dengue-related fatality in the district for the year, according to district malaria officer Dr. Daulat Patel.
The private hospital notified the health department that the boy succumbed within two hours of his admission on August 19. Dr. Patel stated that an investigation concluded the boy died of a heart attack, having fallen ill only a few days prior.
Patel also noted that a total of 314 dengue cases, including 33 children and 124 women, have been registered from January 1.
