The Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) department in Mathura conducted a comprehensive food sampling campaign on Monday, collecting 43 samples from 15 shops near various religious sites, including Mathura and Vrindavan, officials reported.

FSDA Assistant Commissioner Dhirendra Pratap Singh stated that the samples included a variety of sweets and milk-based products such as 'paneer', 'peda', 'barfi', milk cake, 'rasgulla', 'imarti', and 'sonpapdi'.

Of the collected samples, 42 were found to be within safety standards. However, one 'peda' sample was sent to Lucknow for further testing to ensure compliance.
