Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated the Rakesh Jhujhunwala Sankara Eye Hospital in Varanasi, his Lok Sabha constituency, lauding it as a symbolic fusion of spirituality and modern medicine.
The facility, operated by the Kanchi Math, is expected to serve as a major healthcare center not only for Varanasi but also for 20 districts in eastern Uttar Pradesh and neighboring regions.
Modi emphasized the government's commitment to healthcare development, criticizing previous administrations for neglecting the region's health infrastructure and highlighting advancements made under his tenure.
