Naveen Patnaik, the BJD chief and Leader of the Opposition in the Odisha Assembly, has been admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. The 78-year-old politician was hospitalized on Sunday after experiencing dehydration, as confirmed by hospital sources.

The hospital issued a bulletin stating that Patnaik's health condition remains stable and he is responding well to ongoing treatment. The leader had shown signs of uneasiness the night before his admission, prompting a visit from medical professionals to his residence, Naveen Niwas.

Party officials have suggested that age-related health issues might have contributed to his current condition. Notably, Patnaik had recently returned from Mumbai after undergoing spinal surgery for cervical arthritis in July.
