World Record Blood Drive: A Lifesaving Milestone

Marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 75th birthday, the Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad organized a global blood donation drive, aiming to collect 3 lakh units in a single day. With efforts in India and 70 countries, this initiative seeks to ensure no life is lost due to a blood shortage.

In a monumental effort to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 75th birthday, the Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad, an NGO, aims to set a world record by collecting 3 lakh units of blood in a single day through a global initiative.

Amit Jain, the all-India general secretary of the organization, announced that blood donation camps have been established at 7,000 sites across India, as part of the Raktdan Amrit Mahotsav 2.0. These efforts extend internationally, reaching 70 countries, including the USA, UK, and several African nations, supported by Indian embassies.

Highlighting the crucial need for regular blood donations, Jain stressed India's current deficit, which leaves the nation short by 20-25%. A mere 1% of the population currently donates blood annually, a figure that needs to double to prevent shortages.
