A significant healthcare development is underway for Dhalai district in Tripura as a new 50-bed critical care block has been sanctioned by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The new facility, announced by Chief Minister Manik Saha, is set to transform treatment options for severe cases such as trauma and cardiac issues. This move could eliminate the frequent need to send critical patients to Agartala for specialized care, thus providing timely medical attention at the district level.
Chief Minister Saha expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Health Minister J P Nadda for their support. He highlighted the strategic move as part of the broader vision to improve healthcare infrastructure in tribal regions, reflecting the government's commitment to transforming Dhalai, previously labeled an 'aspirational district.'
