Four employees of the Tirupati life science factory in Paonta have been hospitalized after a toxic methylene dichloride leak caused widespread panic among the workforce, local police reported on Sunday.

The incident, which occurred on Saturday night, affected eight employees in total, four of whom required medical attention in a hospital. As of now, two have been discharged while the remaining individuals still receive treatment.

Sirmaur Superintendent of Police Nischit Singh Negi confirmed that a negligence case has been filed against the factory management, and investigations are underway.
