Latur in central Maharashtra is set to receive a new 100-bed district hospital as part of the National Health Mission, according to the state health department's announcement on Friday.
State Public Works Minister Shivendrasinhraje Bhosale, who also serves as the district's guardian minister, will lay the hospital’s foundation stone on Saturday, underlining the government's commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure.
Community leaders, including former mayor Vikrant Gojamgunde, are advocating for the hospital to commemorate Shivraj Patil, recognizing his impactful political career and contributions to Latur’s development.
