Uttarakhand Leader's Desperate Protest for Nursing Professionals

In a dramatic turn of events, Uttarakhand Mahila Congress president Jyoti Rautela attempted self-immolation during a protest to support unemployed nursing professionals. Officials reported that Rautela poured petrol on herself while perched atop a water tank at Parade Ground.

The incident, which took place on Tuesday, saw chaos as fellow protestors and police disrupted the attempt by snatching the petrol bottle from Rautela's hand. The protest, led by Nursing Ekta Manch, demands year-wise recruitment in line with Indian Public Health Standards.

A viral video on social media criticized the state government for its lack of response, labeling it as arrogant under BJP's rule. Nursing professionals have been striking and fasting for three weeks, further fueled by the absence of any government representatives at the site.
