UK's Dyson testing ventilator and scaling up for production

Vacuum cleaner company Dyson said it was testing a ventilator and was scaling up for volume production after it answered the call from Britain's government to increase the supply of the devices to help save lives in the coronavirus crisis.

Dyson said it had deployed its expertise in air movement, motors, power systems, manufacturing, and supply chain, and had been working around the clock with medical technology and development company, TTP – The Technology Partnership.

"We are conducting a full, regulated medical device development, including testing in the laboratory and in humans, and we are scaling up for volume," it said on Monday.
