Etihad Airways, the United Arab Emirates' flagship carrier, has reported impressive preliminary traffic figures for July 2024. The airline accommodated 1.7 million passengers, achieving an average load factor of 89%.

CEO Antonoaldo Neves stated that passenger numbers in July increased by 33% compared to the same month last year, illustrating continued robust growth. Year-to-date, the airline has served 10.4 million passengers, marking an increase of 2.8 million over the same period in the previous year. As of July 2024, Etihad's rolling 12-month passenger count stands at 16.8 million.

Neves also highlighted the airline’s fleet growth and added ten new destinations, expanding from 78 aircraft in July 2023 to 93 in July 2024. The 89% load factor in July reflects the airline's success during a peak summer period amidst significant capacity expansion.
