Historic Israeli Delegation Explores Strategic Partnerships in India

Tel Aviv [Israel], February 12 (ANI/TPS): A landmark delegation of Israeli business leaders, spearheaded by Minister of Economy and Industry Nir Barkat, concluded a pivotal two-day visit to India on Wednesday. This largest-ever group included over 100 CEOs representing fields such as healthcare, cyber, and hi-tech, aiming to demonstrate Israel's advanced capabilities.
During their visit, the delegation engaged in high-level discussions with Indian business officials and policymakers, identifying opportunities in advanced manufacturing, fintech, MedTech, agritech, renewable energy, and cybersecurity. They also held talks with Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal to explore possibilities of cooperation.
"This historic delegation signifies the beginning of a new era of economic collaboration between Israel and India," Barkat stated. "Our purpose is to forge enduring strategic partnerships that will fuel mutual growth," he noted, underscoring the shared history of collaboration in sectors such as agriculture, defense, and high-tech industries. The visit is seen as a critical step in advancing their economic cooperation.
Israel's Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, described the delegation's size as a testament to Israel's heightened interest in the Indian economy, which he attributed to India's emergence as a global power, presenting new market and production opportunities. This visit has broadened the business scope between the nations, fostering new partnerships in innovation and infrastructure.
