US military says 52 militants killed in Somalia air strike

The U.S. military killed 52 militants in an air strike in Somalia's Middle Juba Region on Saturday, its Africa Command said in a statement.

The strike was carried out in response to an attack on Somali government forces by a large group of al Shabaab militants, the statement said. (Writing by David Lewis Editing by Robin Pomeroy)
