Tensions have risen as U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk publicly dismissed Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski's concerns regarding the future reliability of Starlink services in Ukraine. Sikorski's comments triggered sharp rebukes from both figures, as reported by The Kyiv Independent.

Rubio accused Sikorski of fabricating claims, asserting, "No one has made any threats about cutting Ukraine off from Starlink." He further emphasized the pivotal role of Starlink, saying, "Without it, Ukraine would have lost this war long ago, and Russians would be on the border with Poland."

Echoing Rubio's sentiment, Musk criticized Poland's financial contribution, highlighting that it covers only a "small fraction" of the costs for Ukraine's terminals, which C according to Sikorski — is around USD 50 million annually. Musk remarked, "Be quiet, small man. You pay a tiny fraction of the cost." Their comments have drawn attention to broader geopolitical dynamics and criticisms of Ukraine's strategies.
