In a display of cultural diplomacy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is participating in a major community event in Port Louis, Mauritius. The event, marked by traditional dances and performances, underscores the vibrant connection between India and its diaspora worldwide. Excitement fills the atmosphere as attendees celebrate this momentous occasion.

Educator Tanuja Padharak Bihari expressed the profound significance of Modi's presence. 'When he came the first time, I was there. I couldn't miss it this time. It's a pivotal day for us, reflecting our deep ties with India,' she said. Fellow attendee, Nitish Ushman, described the visit as 'a big honour for Mauritius.'

During his visit, Modi presented gifts to Mauritius President Dharambeer Gokhool and First Lady Brinda Gokhool, emphasizing historical and cultural ties. The gifts included nutrient-rich Makhana and a Banarasi saree, representing India's agricultural and textile heritage. A brass and copper pot with holy water from Sangam symbolized shared spiritual traditions.

Modi's participation in Mauritius National Day celebrations further solidified the ongoing partnership between the two nations. In a lunch hosted by President Gokhool, Modi highlighted the strong diplomatic and cultural bonds uniting India and Mauritius, with gratitude extended for the generous welcome.
