In a stirring declaration of diplomatic concern, France's Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot has called for restraint from both India and Pakistan amidst rising tensions following a brutal terrorist attack on April 22 that claimed 26 civilian lives in India.

Barrot, underscoring France's position, expressed wholehearted condemnation of the attack and disclosed his advocacy efforts at the United Nations Security Council to mobilize international condemnation against the incident. He highlighted the importance of temperance, given the formidable military capabilities of both nations, and stressed on the essentiality of de-escalation to safeguard civilians.

The French minister is actively engaging in dialogues with both Indian and Pakistani counterparts, aiming to forestall any enduring conflict. Meanwhile, in response to the Pahalgam attack, the Indian military delivered targeted strikes against terrorist infrastructures, marking a decisive action against terrorism. This operation, dubbed "Operation Sindoor," successfully targeted nine terrorist camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
