During a media briefing in Delhi, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri pointedly criticized Pakistan's long-standing ties to terror organizations like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed. He questioned the appropriateness of state funerals for terrorists as well as the draping of coffins with national flags, actions which he described as nonsensical.

Misri displayed a photograph of Hafiz Abdul Rauf, a globally recognized terrorist, conducting funeral prayers for those killed by recent Indian missile strikes. Misri emphasized Rauf's known involvement in the 2008 Mumbai attacks that killed 166 people, and whose designation as a global terrorist by the U.S. underscores his threat level.

The Foreign Secretary further noted Pakistan's recent attack on a Sikh community in Jammu and Kashmir, which killed three individuals and injured many others. Despite the Resistance Front claiming responsibility for these attacks, Pakistan opposed their mention at the UNSC. Indian military responses have been described as precise and non-escalatory.

Misri dismissed Pakistani claims of shooting down Indian jets, highlighting a consistent pattern of deception by Pakistan since 1947. Any further provocations, he said, would be met with firm responses, as seen in India's recent neutralization of Pakistan's air defense systems in Lahore and the execution of Operation Sindoor, targeting terror havens in Pakistan.
