In a sharp rebuke, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh addressed comments made by Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir, which attempted to compare the economic statuses of India and Pakistan. Singh described Munir's analogy of India being a luxury car and Pakistan a dump truck as an 'admission of failure.'

Speaking at the Economic Times World Leaders' Forum 2025, Singh pointed out that Munir's remarks inadvertently revealed the 'robber mentality' of the Pakistani Army. He referenced Operation Sindoor to underscore that no doubts should have existed in Pakistan regarding India's capabilities.

Stressing the importance of India's defense spirit, Singh affirmed, "We must ensure our resolve to protect our national honor alongside economic and cultural prosperity." He cautioned that if Munir's statement was a veiled warning, India would be prepared to respond decisively.

Singh highlighted India's rapid economic progress, analogous to a 'Ferrari on the highway,' against Pakistan's lag, akin to a 'debris-filled truck.' He suggested Munir's statement had backfired publicly, as questions arose about why both nations—independent simultaneously—diverged so sharply in economic success.

The Minister referred to past escalations, warning against 'reckless warmongering' from Pakistan. "India is ready to deliver a befitting response to any potential threats," Singh concluded, underscoring the vigilance India maintains in the face of provocative rhetoric from its neighbor.
