Magic C Bamba out with stress fracture

Orlando Magic rookie center Mo Bamba is sidelined with a stress fracture in his left tibia, the team announced Tuesday. "Thankfully we caught this early and are able to treat Mo without surgery," Magic team president Jeff Weltman said in a team-released statement. "His return to action will depend on how he responds to treatment."

Mamba, 20, has played in 47 games (one start). He is averaging 6.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. He has blocked 64 shots. --Field Level Media
