In a stark statement, Filip Dewinter, a member of the Flemish Parliament affiliated with the Vlaams Belang party, advocated for a European ban on Pakistan. Dewinter accused Pakistan of providing financial and logistical support to terrorist groups, a claim he reinforced by citing recent attacks in Delhi.
Dewinter articulated that both the West and India confront similar threats from what he described as 'radical Islamic terrorism.' He underscored that such threats necessitate international collaboration, especially concerning security and economic partnerships. He stated that Pakistan should be considered a 'terror state' and barred from Europe.
This statement was made during the Global Patriots Meet 2025 at India International Centre, emphasizing efforts to build cooperation among patriotic parties worldwide. The event also hosted members like Rajya Sabha MP Kartikeya Sharma, who discussed the evolving nature of global threats and praised India's resilience against terrorism.
