India's Repatriation Efforts in West Asia Amid Travel Disruptions

The Consulate General of India in Jeddah is providing comprehensive support to Indian nationals amid travel disruptions caused by the ongoing conflict in West Asia. On Tuesday, Consul General Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri, along with senior officials, inspected arrangements for Indian passengers at King Abdulaziz International Airport, ensuring their safe departure on special flights to India.

These non-scheduled flights are operated by Indian carriers to counter recent travel challenges and facilitate the return of stranded passengers. During his visit, Suri interacted with travelers and staff, guaranteeing full consulate support. Consulate efforts include round-the-clock staff deployment at airports in Jeddah and Madinah to assist passengers and address concerns.

Meanwhile, the Indian government and airlines have initiated an emergency repatriation mission, coordinating with the Ministry of Civil Aviation and embassies. IndiGo, among other carriers, is leading this effort, restoring routes based on current airspace conditions. Repatriation flights from various Gulf cities are scheduled, with ongoing cooperation from local Saudi authorities, enhancing the smooth handling of travel operations.
