The United States has intensified its naval operations in the Persian Gulf, redirecting 48 vessels within 20 days due to maritime restrictions imposed on Iran. This was announced by the US Central Command (CENTCOM) on Saturday through a post on X.

CENTCOM highlighted the operational positioning of the USS New Orleans (LPD-18) within the Arabian Sea, underlining ongoing US efforts as part of what it described as a blockade targeting Iranian ports and not the Strait of Hormuz itself.

Amid these moves, President Donald Trump communicated to Congress that hostilities with Iran have ceased. Nonetheless, legal debates surface as he challenges the War Powers Resolution, with observers noting the 60-day deadline for congressional notification had passed without request for military authorization.
