Israel Asserts Sovereignty Over US-Iran Peace Deal

Israeli Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, reaffirmed Israel's stance against Hezbollah and the US-Iran peace deal, emphasizing Israel's focus on dismantling imminent threats. The envoy underscored the need for aiding Iranian citizens while maintaining Israel's operational goals independently of any US trade agreement with Iran.

Speaking to ANI on Monday, Israeli Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, firmed up Israel’s commitment to ongoing operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon, while dismissing the newly announced US-Iran peace deal. Lebanon, he noted, was not incorporated within this agreement.

According to Azar, the primary goal remains the removal of the nuclear and missile threats posed by Iran. “Israel's aim isn't regime change; instead, we focus on dismantling existential threats working with the US to enable the Iranian populace to shape their future,” he conveyed.

Azar warned against using funds from the peace deal for military expansion, pushing instead for welfare investment. Concurrently, despite an endorsement of the agreement by Trump, Israel insists it retains sovereignty and is not bound by the deal.
