China's Shanghai names Zhu Zhongming as new mayor

‌Zhu Zhongming ​has ‌been named as mayor of the ‌Chinese financial hub ‌of Shanghai, municipal authorities ⁠said ​on ⁠Wednesday.

The 54-year-old has ⁠been serving ​as acting mayor ⁠since early September, ⁠following ​the resignation of ⁠his predecessor, ⁠Gong Zheng.
