UK PM May to speak to EU leaders to obtain last-minute changes to Brexit agreement

British Prime Minister Theresa May intends to speak to European Union leaders by telephone this evening and over the weekend, but has no plans to travel to Brussels to try to obtain last-minute changes to her Brexit agreement. May's office spokeswoman told reporters that the British leader had spoken to counterparts in Bulgaria, Denmark and Portugal already.
"She will continue with EU engagement this evening and over the weekend," the spokeswoman said. "She is pointing out that it is in both sides' interest to get a deal." May faces a key parliament vote on her Brexit agreement on Tuesday and is seeking reassurances over arrangements for the British province of Northern Ireland to reassure uneasy lawmakers.
