School shooting incident reported from Brazil; at least 8 wounded

At least eight children were shot on Wednesday at a school on the eastern outskirts of Sao Paulo, according to a report in the Folha de S.Paulo newspaper. Firefighters confirmed to the newspaper that a shooting had taken place at the Raul Brasil public grade school in the municipality of Suzano. There was no immediate word on the extent of injuries or any possible deaths.

An unidentified witness told the paper they saw a person shooting a gun outside the school and then entering just as classes began. Firefighters in Suzano did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
