U.S. shoots down Turkish drone in Syria- officials

WASHINGTON, Oct 5 (Reuters) -
A United States F-16 fighter jet shot down a Turkish drone that was operating near American troops in Syria, two U.S. officials told Reuters on Thursday.
The officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the United States had made several calls to Turkish officials warning them that they were operating near U.S. ground troops.
