Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese's visit to China will help the two countries to work together in the future on the basis of "repacking and starting again", Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Monday.
Wang, in a meeting with his Australian counterpart Penny Wong in Beijing, said there was neither historical grudge nor real conflict between China and Australia, and common interests far outweigh differences, according to a Chinese foreign ministry statement.
The two sides should "view each other in a rational, friendly and inclusive way, pursue a positive, pragmatic and objective policy, meet each other halfway and properly handle differences," Wang said.
