A Russian court on Thursday fined U.S.-based Airbnb 6 million roubles ($65,400) for what it said was its repeated failure to localise data in accordance with Russian law, the state TASS news agency reported.

Moscow has repeatedly clashed with foreign companies over content, personal data and local subsidiaries, a trend that has escalated since Russia sent its armed forces into Ukraine in February 2022. ($1 = 91.7775 roubles)
