US announces charges in scheme to evade sanctions on Venezuela state oil firm

The U.S. Justice Department on Monday announced the unsealing of an indictment charging ten people in a conspiracy to evade sanctions on Venezuelan state oil company Petroleos de Venezuela, or PDVSA, related to alleged activity between 2019 and 2021.

One of ten was arrested in Miami last week, according to the Justice Department.
