Arrest Made in Disturbing Rajasthan Gang Rape Case

Police arrested a 26-year-old man, Ramu Meena, for his alleged involvement in the abduction and gang rape of a minor girl in Rajasthan's Dausa district. The incident occurred when the girl stepped out of her house on May 21. The other suspects, Ravi and Deepak Meena, were arrested previously.

In a significant breakthrough, police on Thursday apprehended a 26-year-old man named Ramu Meena for his alleged role in the abduction and gang rape of a minor in Rajasthan’s Dausa district, officials confirmed.

Authorities had earlier announced a reward of Rs 5,000 for information leading to Ramu’s arrest.

According to Dausa SP Ranjita Sharma, the grievous incident transpired on May 21 when the victim left her home to defecate. The complaint lodged by her family alleges that village residents Ravi alias Dholya Meena and Pintu alias Deepak Meena, along with Ramu, forcibly took her to a nearby field and raped her. While Ravi and Deepak were arrested earlier, the hunt for Ramu concluded with his capture on Thursday.
