Arunachal Pradesh Names Three Former Ministers as CM Advisors

Three former ministers of Arunachal Pradesh have been appointed as advisors to Chief Minister Pema Khandu. Bamang Felix, Alo Libang, and Kamlung Mossang will assist in government functioning. These advisors, despite their roles, will not receive post-service benefits.

In a significant move, the government of Arunachal Pradesh, under Chief Minister Pema Khandu, has appointed three former ministers as advisors. Chief Secretary Kaling Tayeng confirmed on Tuesday that ex-ministers Bamang Felix, Alo Libang, and Kamlung Mossang will now offer their expertise to aid in the functioning of the government.

Bamang Felix, previously the home minister, did not secure a BJP ticket in the recent assembly elections. Alo Libang, an MLA from Tuting-Yingkiong, served as the health minister, while Kamlung Mossang, representing Miao, managed various portfolios including urban development and food and civil supplies. Despite their advisory roles, they will not receive any post-service benefits, Tayeng highlighted.

This recent move follows a prior appointment of 19 advisors on June 18, aimed at bolstering the government processes and support for various ministers.
