FIR Filed Against Supporters of Former BJP MP for Axe-Waving Incident

In Saharanpur district, police have lodged an FIR against several supporters of ex-BJP MP Raghav Lakhanpal Sharma for wielding an axe during a public event, a police official disclosed on Monday.

The case was filed at Gangoh police station based on received information, revealed SP (Rural) Sagar Jain.

Named individuals include Abhishek Kaushik, Ankit, Shubham, Kartik, and Ashish, charged under IPC sections for rioting and endangering life. The incident occurred during a program commemorating Lord Parshuram’s birth, where Sharma addressed the unity of Brahmin and Tyagi communities. He intends to seek case closure from the SSP.
