Legal Clash over Kedarnath Temple Replica in Delhi

Shri Kedarnath Dham Delhi Trust founder Surendra Rautela insists on replicating the Kedarnath temple in Delhi, despite opposition from the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) and Uttarakhand priests. BKTC has filed a police complaint and threatened legal action, accusing the Trust of misusing its name to collect money.

In a brewing controversy, Surendra Rautela, founder of the Shri Kedarnath Dham Delhi Trust, has vowed to continue with plans to replicate the Kedarnath temple in Delhi, despite threats of legal action from Uttarakhand's Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC).

The BKTC, responsible for overseeing the revered Char Dham shrines, has raised objections, filing a police complaint against the Trust for allegedly misusing their name to gather donations and promising online 'darshan' of the temple.

Rautela remains undeterred, stating, 'We are not doing anything wrong and will continue our work for the Hindus and Sanatan Dharma.' The temple, expected to be completed in two to three years, faces stiff opposition from Uttarakhand priests and the BKTC.
