India's Trailblazing Role in Global Sustainability: Insights from NITI Aayog Vice Chairperson Suman Bery
NITI Aayog Vice Chairperson Suman Bery emphasized India's pivotal role in various sectors, including public service delivery and digitalization, at the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development. He highlighted India's commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Prime Minister Modi's vision for a developed India by 2047.
India is emerging as a global leader in areas such as public service delivery and digitalisation, according to NITI Aayog Vice Chairperson Suman Bery. Bery noted that India has made the SDGs a core focus of its G20 presidency, underscoring the global commitment to marginalized communities.
'India is providing solutions in multiple sectors, including public service delivery and digital transformation, and even for multinational corporations,' Bery said in an exclusive interview with PTI. He added that the SDGs represent governments' promises to their people for a decent life in the 21st century.
Bery, who was in New York for the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, delivered India's National Statement and discussed enhancing cooperation in sustainable development and economic partnerships. He also addressed the Indian-American community in a special event, highlighting India's growth and its global impact.
