Tragic Murder-Suicide Shocks Madhya Pradesh Village

A 48-year-old labourer named Arjun allegedly murdered his wife, Dhapubai, with a hammer before dying by suicide in Ujjain district's Lekoda village, Madhya Pradesh. The incident occurred on the night of Tuesday-Wednesday. Police are investigating the motive behind the tragic event.

A 48-year-old labourer allegedly murdered his wife before dying by suicide in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain district, police reported on Wednesday.

The tragic murder-suicide took place in Lekoda village during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday.

According to Chintaman police station in-charge Ballu Mandloi, Arjun, the accused, was found hanging in his room on Wednesday morning by his brother, with his wife Dhapubai’s lifeless body bearing serious head injuries nearby. A hammer was found at the scene, leading police to suspect it was the murder weapon.

Authorities are conducting a forensic examination and investigating the motive behind the deaths.
