Maharashtra Plans New Corporation for Ex-Servicemen Welfare

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced the formation of a corporation dedicated to the welfare of ex-servicemen. During a review meeting, he revealed plans for a rest house in Kharghar and a museum in Mumbai. Shinde also declared special status for the village of Apshinge in Satara.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Thursday announced the establishment of a corporation aimed at supporting the welfare of ex-servicemen.

During a review meeting, Shinde disclosed that a rest house would be constructed in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, and a museum dedicated to ex-servicemen would be set up in Mumbai.

In a statement, Shinde, who is also responsible for the ex-servicemen welfare department, declared special status for Apshinge, the village of soldiers in Satara, to expedite its development. Toll exemptions for ex-servicemen were also announced. Shinde reiterated his government's commitment to the cause, emphasizing the need for an independent corporation to work for ex-servicemen's welfare.
