Trio Arrested in Diva Town Murder Case

Police have arrested three individuals in connection with the murder of Showik Gour Srimani, whose body was found in Diva town near Thane. Initially registered as an accidental death, the case was later amended to murder after the postmortem revealed injuries caused by a hard object. An argument over an issue at a car washing shop is believed to have led to the incident. One suspect remains at large.

Police are investigating the murder of a 35-year-old man found dumped in bushes in Diva town near Thane and have arrested three individuals, an official reported on Saturday.

The deceased, identified as Showik Gour Srimani, was found on July 24, and initially, a case of accidental death was filed. However, a postmortem revealed injuries from a hard and blunt object, prompting the police to classify the case as a murder under the BNS.

Following several leads, police arrested Sultan Mehmood Sheikh, Ritesh Rajbhar, and Akash Bhoir, although one more suspect is still on the run. Preliminary investigations suggest that an argument at a car washing shop led to the fatal attack on Srimani. Further investigations are ongoing.
