Shah made the statement after attending a conference of chief ministers and deputy chief ministers of BJP-ruled states. The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.

'BJP-ruled states, under Modi Ji’s leadership, are dedicated to the welfare of every citizen,' Shah wrote on X. The conference discussed various issues with a focus on ensuring that the benefits of several welfare schemes reach their intended recipients.

Modi highlighted the efforts of BJP-run governments to aid various sections of society, particularly the poor, and emphasized the party’s dedication to good governance. The 'mukhyamantri parishad', organized by the BJP regularly, aims to review state-level schemes, follow best governance practices, and ensure the delivery of central government welfare initiatives.
