The BJP is gearing up for a foot march focused on alleged irregularities in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allotment, targeting the Congress government and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. However, discord within the party has emerged, complicating the planned protest.
BJP MLAs Basangouda Patil Yatnal and Ramesh Jarkiholi have sought permission from the party's central leadership to organize a separate march. They aim to spotlight financial irregularities in the Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation Ltd., calling out state President B Y Vijayendra and veteran leader B S Yediyurappa for alleged 'adjustment politics.'
The opposition BJP and JD(S) have planned a march from Bengaluru to Mysuru from August 3 to 10, protesting the alleged fraudulent allotment of sites by MUDA. Meanwhile, the proposed parallel march will focus on financial mismanagement and alleged fund diversions, further deepening the party's internal strife.
